Well... as you can see I am not doing a great job of keeping up with my blog. I will try to do better. Well, my family and I just went to our first rodeo in Burwell, NE. We went with friends and their families. We had a great time....The cowboys were unbelievable and did such a great job.
I finally made the call to get Matthew's senior pictures scheduled. I was dreading this because he is my first son He should still be in elementary school. LOL. I was so excited because we are having Patti McCabe do his pictures and she suggested that we go back to our hometown in Iowa to have them done. So his pictures will not be the same as the other kids in his class. Patti and her husband have family in Council Bluffs, Ia and Blair,NE so she was gald to do it. I will learn how to put pictures on my post before then.
Well, I guess it is time to get to some Sunday cleaning.

Prom
Well our weekend was a busy one. Matthew, our oldest son had prom. Trey, our youngest son was in the skit for the prom. Our school is very different when it comes to prom. The sophmore class puts on a skit that lasts about an hour. They sing (lipsinc) and dance and just put on this great show. They also chose kindergartin attendents who also preform. Trey was one of the attendents. He was the Lone Ranger, a little boy, and sang a solo to The Yellow Rose of Texas (and he sang as loud as he could no lipsincing here) as he danced with the only girl, Jace, in his kindergartin class. In my world, he was the hit of the skit. I will insert pictures as soon as Matthew shows me how. LOL
Matthew is a junior so we had to get his tux, order flowers, order pictures, and then help decorate the gym. This has been going on since January. It has been crazy but it is so worth it to the kids. Matthew's girliefriend is Taylor, she is a junior too. She is as thin as a rail and had this gorgeous peacock dress. (Once again, will download pictures.) They had a great time at the dance.
I helped with the after prom party and we took them bowling in Broken Bow. It was fun but a really late night. After we were done bowling, the kids got to pick out their gifts. Matthew got a box safe and $50.00, I think Taylor got a backpack thingy and ear phones.
I am glad it its over but we have an encore presentation tomorrow. So this means that I have to write down the list of pictures that need to be retaken so that I can get them order and scrapbooked.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Week in the hospital
Well, it has been a crazy few days here. My husband hurt his calf a couple of weeks ago. He is a coach and a teacher so the athletic trainer was at our school a couple of weeks ago to check out some kids, he took a look at my husband. He suggested my husband immobilize his calf for a few days. He did this for about 5 days, after he took his boot off, he then spent the next 2 days on his feet at track meets. Well this was the start of our problem. He had a hard time breathing on friday night. But being the stubborn man that he is....he would not go to the emergency room. I had to drag him out of bed on Saturday morning to get him to go to the Saturday clinic that the hospital that I work at has. Once we got there, they sent us straight to the ER they thought that he was having a heart attack. They check all his heart stuff and nothing really gave them any indication that it was a heart attack. So they ran more tests and called a cardiologist in Kearney. The Doctor said that we needed to get to Kearney to have him checked out further but suggested they do a test for blood clots. We were on the way to Kearney in the ambulance when the emt go the call that it was clots. Our trip got much faster then. We made it to the hospital without any clots dislodging but it was a crazy next few hours. They did an ultrasound of his heart, lungs, and calf. He had multiple clots in 4 of the 5 lobes in his lungs and still had multiple clots in his calf. Lots of medicine and 3 days without leaving his bed the threat of the clots dislodging was gone. We still spent the rest of the week in the hospital. He was discharged from the hosptial last Friday. I had to give him lovinaux shots for the next 3 days. We went to our clinic today and his coumaden level was good. The good Lord was shining down on us. This could have been a tragic situation. We just thank God that it turned out for the best. I will post of picture of our 6 year in the hospital bed as soon as out 17 year old shows me how. LOL Well, this is long enough, I will post more about our stay later.
Have a great evening.

New Year's Resolutions
I know that it is now March 1, but I am starting another one of my dreaded resolutions. I have always enjoyed reading the prim blogs and decided that I would give it a whirl. So here we go....I am the mother of two boys, Matthew who is 17 and Trey our tag along who is 6. My husband, Todd, is a teacher and a high school coach so we are always busy. I work at the Valley County Health System in Ord, NE.
I like to spend my time crafting.
